UCVM 2020 Online Vet Camp [1]
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary (UCVM), has announced an Online Vet Camp for kids which offers up a fantastic week long learning opportunity for youth who love animals both big and small, or are interested in veterinary medicine.
From July 20-Aug. 14, 2020, students entering grades six through nine will have a fun week learning about cattle, horse (equine), small animal, camelid, and exotic animal care skills and knowledge. Learn from veterinary students each day in two, 1-hour live online interactive sessions, scheduled at 9-10 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. In between sessions, there will be online content to explore and the opportunity to take part in hands-on activities at home (total content provided will be approximately four to six hours a day).
Students will also receive a swag bag of goodies that includes a genuine veterinarian scrub top and materials for the at-home activities. (Please be advised if you register within one week of the camp start date your swag bag may be delayed.)
